QUESTION:

Will we be able to update our website in-house?

For those clients who would like the control and convenience of updating their website in-house, we specialize in sites using a CMS (Content Management System) called ExpressionEngine.

Each site features a password-secured back end, enabling the client to maintain as much of the site as they like. No Dreamweaver, Front Page or HTML knowledge is needed -- just a web browser. You will need to purchase an ExpressionEngine license. (See pricing here.)

We provide EE training. The interface is super-easy to use: so simple, in fact, that the training is usually completed in one 30-45 minute session. And more than one person who was very skeptical about their ability to learn it has finished the training session saying, "That's it? I can do that!"

Usually one person within your organization becomes the manager of the back end. For larger organizations with more complex needs the CMS can be set up with multiple custom user groups. This way, each user group will only have access to their own information in the back end. This allows you to keep different areas of your organization segmented and keep clear accountability for maintaining and updating the site information.

If you're serious about building a website you can update yourself, I'd be happy to sit down with you and show you just how easy it can be! (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
