Lessons from Pixar

Here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at how Pixar’s Brad Bird stirs up creativity in his crew. (With that name, was that guy born to be in animation, or what?) I thought this one was interesting, and rings true:

If you have low morale, for every $1 you spend, you get about 25 cents of value. If you have high morale, for every $1 you spend, you get about $3 of value. Companies should pay much more attention to morale.

This is a fun, cool, video my son Ian pointed me to. It’s about the greeting card industry, but anyone who’s been in advertising can relate! Anyone who sat through educational films in the 50’s and 60’s will get a chuckle, too.
